In the spirit of democracy, the event will also include an open mic –offering everyone the opportunity to perform for three minutes.
BRAIN STORMS is produced by poet Bruce Weber and has evolved out of the New Year’s Day event that he organized in Manhattan from 1995-2019. A new full time resident of Saugerties he was inspired to create the event by his exposure to talent in the region, and the exciting creative opportunities that are arising in the city of Kingston. The event will provide a great opportunity to become familiar with a potpourri of creative artists. Among the performers are Michael Bisio, Michael Brownstein, Andy Clausen, Janet Hamill, Mikhail Horowitz, Lissa Kiernan, Phillip Levine, Giles Malkine, Gus Mancini, Paul McMahon, Linda Montano, Bertha Rogers, George Quasha, Darcy Smith and Victoria Sullivan.
